Bio: Dr. Alkhansa is probably one of the very few Yemeni women specialised in virology and has extensive expertise in this field. She is currently deputy dean of Academic Development Deanship at Jazan University in Saudi Arabia. Prior to this, she worked in the Clinical Virology course coordinators of the MLT Program-Jazan University and was MLT Quality Committee Head. In Yemen, she worked as a consultant with the health ministry on virology and testing and before that she worked as a project director with the Relief International Organization. She was also a Project Coordinator with the United Nation of Development Program and head of the Laboratory Department at the Modern Police Hospital in Sana;a.

Dr. Alkhansa availed her Masters and PhD degrees from Gomel State Medical University in Belarus and later worked as an Assistant Professor at the Gomel State Medical University, Queen Arwa University in Yemen, and Alrazi Medical University in Yemen.

Her specialised degrees were on modern modification methods for diagnosis of Hepatitis C virus, based on ELISA method as well as microbiology where she focused on bacteriology, mycology, Immunology, among other relevant areas.

She is also an expert in quality control and accreditation as she has experience in accreditation processes, quality and management programs, in particular PLOs, CLOs, course evaluation, learning outcomes measurement, SSRP, SES and Accreditation Requirements. She has also attended an intensive course organsied by NCAAA in Malaysia in preparing accreditation requirements programs.
