Bio: Despite her background in the private sector by virtue of her work as a businesswoman, Ansam is known for her activism in human rights, especially in the field of gender equality and women's rights advocacy. 

She has a special interest in implementing the UN Resolution (1325) on women and peace, as well as reforming the security sector. Through her active membership in the Feminist and Youth Group of Nine, in cooperation with UN Women, and most recently, through her membership in the Coordination Committee and Follow-up to the Recommendations of the Feminist Summit 2020, she works to push towards achieving social justice and empowering women. 

One of Ansam’s recent achievements is managing a project to produce a report on implementation of the "CEDAW 2020" on behalf of the Yemeni civil society. This was the first report of the Civil Rights and Feminist Coalition in partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. In order to accomplish this task, she underwent extensive training on the convention and how to prepare the report, information gathering and analysis. 

She also participated in advocacy campaigns organised by the Women’s National Committee against child marriages and instating a safe age for girls to marry. She also contributed to the preparation and implementation of dialogue sessions and advocacy to issue a law criminalizing violence against girls and women prepared by the Independent Women's Network (Fawz). 

Ansam is a member of many women's networks and alliances and works continuously to develop her skills in civil society activity and training in human rights issues. But her career started in the field of business and entrepreneurship when she founded a company called TCC Computer Services in 2013, which she managed personally, due to her technical background as she studied IT. 

She was also responsible for public relations and international cooperation at the Businesswomen’s Council and a member of the Businessmen Committee for Young Men and Women. Through her work in the private sector, she carried out many advocacy activities within the framework of the Businesswomen Council to change the traditional view of women working in trade and change the discriminatory conditions of the financial and banking sector against businesswomen and because of her efforts, Ansam contributed to improving the finance environment towards women.

She holds a BA in Social Work from the College of Arts in Aden in addition to a diploma in Information Technology from the Community College in Aden.
