Bio: Dr.NabilaAl-Hakimi (@nabilaalhakimi)works as a consultant with a rank of deputy minister in the Ministry of Education. She is editor in chief of Al-Hadath, an online newspaper. She is the chairwoman of the Media Foundation for Peace and Aomne at Forum for Protection and Peace. She was a founding member of the National Committee for Women by the decision of the Prime Minister in 1996. At the time, she worked on issuing Al-Yamnai newspaper as the project of the committee and was the chief editor. 

Al-Hakimi is a negotiation consultant in international law, a trainer in the advocacy and human rights mechanism, and she works with the consultation group to discuss war prisoners. She is a legal consultant for the organization Peace School. Nabila is the General Secretary of the Yemeni Independent Network and she works within the political and legal team in the Feminist Harmony for Security and Peace. 

Through out her career, Nabila worked within the security reform team and worked as a monitor and political analyst for the political teams in the National Dialogue Conference. She also worked in monitoring and evaluating gender roles and development. In addition, she worked in monitoring laws related to women in the parliament and the Yemeni constitution.  

Nabila holds a Master's Degree in media. She is currently getting her Ph.D. in International law. Her dissertation is about the role of negotiation in conflict and governance and its relationship with international law. She is a team member of the institutional working group for studies in governance, peace and good governance, a member of the civil society organization coalition Human Rights, and a member of the Yemeni Journalist Syndicate and Bar Association.
