Bio: Najat Jumaan holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Sues Canal University in Egypt. With her extensive experience in the financial field, she was appointed, with a presidential decree, as Deputy Dean of the Institute of Finance at the Ministry of Finance. She was also appointed to be the Dean of the Trade and Economics College. She then got promoted to be the Executive Manager in the Economic Opportunities Fund. Currently, she works as a consultant in the field of management, finance, and economic development for many organizations, including GIZ, UNDP, UNICEF, and ADRA. 

Najat is a member of the Women’s Advisory Committee of the UN envoy and a member of the Feminist Consensus for Peace and Security. She has great experience in the research field as she has many research papers that are published in academic journals; The last of which was the paper she submitted to the UN envoy on The Central Bank and salaries.

Jumaan won many awards, the most important of which were the United Nations Award for Best Entrepreneur in 2001, the Vice President’s Award for Best Investment Project in 2004, a Certificate of the Best 20 Businesswomen in the World provided by the International Finance Organization, and the British Foreign Office’s Certificate for the Best Businesswoman in the Middle East & North Africa. 

Jumaan is a lecturer in the fields of business administration, financial markets and institutions, strategic management, and human resource development. She teaches in Master's Programs and supervises several Master's theses and doctoral dissertations.
