Bio: Noura Al-Jarawi (@Noorajrwi) is a political leader and a media activist. She holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and is a member of the Permanent Committee of the General People’s Congress Party. She was gradually promoted in her career at the Ministry of Youth and Sports; Al-Jarawi started as General Manager of the Women’s Department, then became the Deputy Assistance of the Women's Department, then the Deputy of the Media Department in 2016. She also held the position of Secretary to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Thawra Newspaper, and the Director of the Foreign Relations Department of the newspaper.

Al-Jarawi has also been active in the civil society, as she is the director of the organization for development, Koni Watan. She is also the director of Women for Peace Coalition and the founder and president of the people’s youth rescue movement, January 14 Youth. She holds the position of Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Civil Society Organizations. Additionally, she carried the issue of women detainees in prisons and succeeded in releasing many of them through international mediation and organizations. Al-Jawari is still working to advocate for women detainees displaced and affected by the war in Yemen.
