Bio: Randa Mohammed (@RandaSalemAli) is an accomplished Lawyer, political, and human rights activist. She is the daughter of the freedom fighter Mohammed Salem, one of the leaders of the National Movement of the South, and the founder of the Trade Union Movement in Aden. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Cairo University and has worked and trained as a lawyer in the renowned attorney's office, Sheikh Tariq, in Aden. After that, she joined several local and international offices as a legal advisor. Randa is an advocate and supporter of the Revolution for Change, and has participated in several seminars, the most important of which is the transitional justice seminar. She joined the Southern Movement and was a founding member of the Independent Southerners' Bloc led by veteran politician Professor Abdullah Al-Asnaj, who was also a former foreign minister, and one of the symbols of the militant movement in the south. 

Randa is active on the political front and has devoted herself to the southern cause. She also worked on several human rights issues with a prime focus on woman’s rights. Professor Abdullah Al-Asnaj chose her as his personal representative in the Comprehensive National Dialogue, of which she also became a member. She initially joined the Independence Division, prior to moving to the State Building Division, and from there established a reputation within the political circles as a defender of the southern issue and women's rights.  

Abdo was nominated to the Constitutional Committee as one of thirteen members that prepared the draft of the New Yemeni Constitution. The committee endured a year of constant struggles and had to move, for security reasons, outside the country. Despite the struggle, they showed an outstanding commitment and resolved to ensure the draft was completed and brought to light. Randa still participates in many legal seminars and conferences. She was chosen as a founding member of the Women in Politics Forum in the Arab region, and one of Griffith's Advisers in the Geneva discussions between the legitimate Yemeni government and Houthis. She is an accomplished political author with several articles in Aden Tomorrow.
