Bio: Shifa Bahamish (@Shifa78534147 ) is the executive director of the "Lahdaht Aajr" Foundation for community development, and she is the media officer and founding member of the Southern Women for Peace. Shifa is a highly engaged peace mediator seeking to find a practical partnership between the local authority and the community. She is part of many initiatives such as the Community Safety Committee in the district of Sirah, within the project to enhance community safety in Yemen to build trust between police and society, and Community Mediation Committee within the project to promote comprehensive access to justice. 

Shifa started her community work at an early age during the summer war of 1994. While she was still a high school student, and she used her basic experience during that period to treat the war-wounded.

After that, she completed her studies at the Dr. Amin Nasher Institute of Health Sciences. Upon completion of her health studies, she worked at the Health Office in Aden in 2002. At the same time, she continued with voluntary and women's community work, including coordination, facilitation, networking, and advocacy of national human rights, and social and humanitarian issues. Currently Shifa is studying law at the University of Aden.
